Fish Sitting (Day 2)

Well, Last Night Eve (our cat) would not let Pigwidgeon sleep in peace.  Eve kept trying to leap up to Pigwidgeon’s bed to play, and we finally had enough. So, the only spot that we could put him was the pantry.  He seemed to wake up refreshed and in a good mood.

Pigwidgeon was really interest in doing what the kids wanted to do.  He played checkers, Battleship, and a new Wii Game called Just Dance.  Boy does that fish have moves.  He kept trying to jump on the control, but I had to tell him that he needed to stay in the water.  I guess we will put him back in the pantry tonight, so he can have more energy to play with the kids tomorrow.

This fish-sitting sure is fun.

Pigwidgeon’s Diary:

I knew these humans were a threat.  They locked me in a dark space last night, and I overheard plans to attempt water boarding tomorrow.  Little do they know I was top of my class in SERE training.  “I’ve never seen a wild thing feel sorry for itself.”  I will not swim away from whatever they bring on.

I also saw what happened to their previous prisoners.  There were small metal cans of dead tuna left there in that dark space, probably just to try to break me down.  My brothers! I stand strong for you and I will never forget you.

On a positive note, I had a chance to carry out phase one of The Plan today.  The fools let me near their electronics the small ones were playing with.  They thought I was “just dancing,” and I do admit my tail fin was flicking to the groove, BUT I was actually hacking into NORAD’s secure facility.  Let us hope an upload from an insignificant ichthyiod will go undetected.

Signing off now. Until tomorrow . . .
