Brown gives an insight into her experience as a black woman in the United States. This book was worth the read and a worthy reminder that there are different experience of living in the U.S. And, those experiences are heavily influenced by race. White people do not experience living here like black people. This book is a memoir that brings up all kinds of issues, some answers can be drawn for her experience, but this is not a book of answers.
