Atomic Habits was not what I expected.  At first glance the title lead me to believe that this would give me some major habits to develop in order that I can change my life for the better.  When I think Atom, I think large explosion, or the Atomic Bomb, something that is big and imposing.  But, this couldn’t be further from the trajectory of this book.

The author’s main goal is to stress the importance of making minute changes.  By changing your habits at the smallest (atom) level, over time you will see exponential growth.

In order to change your habits, he has the 4 laws.

  1. Make it obvious.
  2. Make it attractive
  3. Make it easy
  4. Make it satisfying

This book is well worth you time. It provides everyone who may have a hard time building habits the steps, encouragement, and reasoning for slow change that will compound over time.
