Eat This Book challenges the reader engage with the Bible on its own terms. The author’s goal is to have people receive scripture as God’s revelation that speaks to us today. He teaches \a way of reading scripture that can help the hearer listen for the Word.
This is an excellent book for those who only know read the bible for study or who try to get out of it information. Peterson shows how to engage and listen to the God revealed in the text as a means of connecting to the God of the text.
I would recommend this book especially to lay people. It might even be good for clergy who have lost their way and drifted toward using scripture as a means to end for their work.
